The Rain Barrel Giveaway at the District Office at 1222 E 96th St, Brooklyn, NY 11236 on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Courtesy of the Department of Environmental Protection, Senator Persaud will be giving away free rain barrels to constituents. That same day (Saturday, April 27) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Lower East Side Ecology Center will be stationed at the parking lot down the block the District Office is located on, near Flatlands Avenue. They will be recycling e-waste for residents; it is illegal for New Yorkers to discard electronics the trash, and they are accepting many types of working and non-working devices and items.
