
Fighting Hate and Promoting Understanding at Urban Assembly School

Learning about an increase in anti-semitism and bias crimes these 10th grade students chose to make a difference. They embarked on a mission to dispel stereotypes and promote tolerance by learning more about their Boro Park neighbors and reaching out to open respectful dialogue. I was honored when they reached out to share their story and happy to accept the invitation to meet with them. An opportunity arose to share what they learned and they rose to the occassion - delivering sensitivity training on anti-semitism to a 6th grade class.
