Volunteer to help your neighbors!

Lots of people are wondering how they can help their more vulnerable neighbors through this difficult time.

Bay Ridge Cares is spearheading a district-wide initiative to support one another by connecting healthy, asymptomatic volunteers with those in high-risk groups who may be unable to leave their homes. Volunteers will be connected with an individual in need of services such as grocery delivery, necessary errands, wellness calls, and food scarcity support.

But here’s the hitch: the system can only work if we have the volunteers to power it. That means that Bay Ridge Cares CANNOT BEGIN intake for those in need until there are enough volunteers to do the work.

And remember, this is a call for service throughout District 22 - Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Manhattan Beach and beyond - we need all the hands we can get.

New Yorkers lead by example and we know how to see each other through. Let's do this.
