How to apply for an absentee ballot in New York

Here's how to apply for an absentee ballot in New York for the upcoming June 23 primary. You can also choose to vote in person early or on June 23.

APPLY BY MAIL

All eligible voters will receive a postmarked absentee application in the mail. To apply for your absentee ballot, simply return the completed application to the Board of Elections. Voters opting to vote by absentee ballot due to the pandemic should check the box for “Temporary illness or physical disability.” If you don’t want to wait, download the application at vote.nyc/page/absentee-voting and mail it to the Queens Board of Elections at: 118-35 Queens Boulevard, Forest Hills, NY 11375.

Fill out your absentee application at nycabsentee.com or download the application at vote.nyc/page/ absentee-voting and email it to AbsenteeJune2020@boe.nyc.

APPLY BY PHONE

Call 1-866-VOTE-NYC (1-866-868-3692) to apply for a ballot.
