Senator Vemanette Montgomery's Bill S.727 which allows for Credit Unions to participate in the Banking Development District (BDD) program along with other major corporate financial institutions was signed into law by Governor Cuomo in December of 2019.

Senator Montgomery has urged MCU President and CEO Mark Ricca to take advantage of the BDD program to help fill the needs of underserved communities throughout the State.
