Statement from Senator Palumbo on Repealing Gov. Cuomo's Food with Alcohol Edict
April 28, 2021

Today I voted to rescind the Governor’s ridiculous "food with alcohol" mandate for bars and restaurants. For weeks, my Republican colleagues and I have been working to rescind this order and the arbitrary curfews that continue to hinder the recovery of Long Island’s struggling restaurant and hospitality industries.
Sadly, with the Governor’s announcement today, it appears indoor dining curfews will continue in New York for another month unless the State Legislature takes action. I urge my Democrat colleagues to do just that, and join our efforts next week to end restaurant curfews.
Our restaurants and hospitality industry should not have to endure these restrictions for another day, let alone another month.
