On August 17th, Senator Serrano joined Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and his East Harlem colleagues, Congressman Adriano Espaillat, Assembly Member Robert Rodriguez, and Council Member Diana Ayala, for a Virtual Community Roundtable. They reported on recent legislation, initiatives, and resources available to the East Harlem community. They also discussed new programs available for those struggling financially due to COVID-19, including the federal Child Tax Credit and the State's Excluded Workers Fund. In addition, the elected officials heard directly from local residents and discussed the best ways to move forward with COVID recovery and other challenges.
