On Thursday, July 10th, Senator Serrano was thrilled to join his fellow government officials at the Bronx Zoo for the highly anticipated reopening of the World of Darkness exhibit. This remarkable journey had been 16 years in the making. This innovative nocturnal experience captures the essence of life in the shadows, highlighting the extraordinary adaptations of animals that thrive in dimly lit environments. Visitors are invited to explore 21 meticulously recreated habitats, which transport them through lush tropical forests, arid deserts, mysterious caves, and fascinating subterranean landscapes. Each habitat showcases the unique body features, behaviors, and heightened senses that enable these remarkable creatures to navigate and survive in the enchanting world of darkness.
