State Budget Passed
James L. Seward
The last of the bills constituting the 2005-2006 state budget has been approved. New York has its first on-time state budget in 20 years, Senator Seward noted, which restores TAP, boosts school aid, provides property tax relief through a cap on the local share of Medicaid, and limits new fees and taxes.
"A real victory in producing an on-time budget that meets the needs of our residents," Senator James L. Seward commented.
