'Residency' Sex Offender Bill Passes in Senate

A bill sponsored by Senator Ortt passed in the Senate Thursday. It redefines what substitutes as a residency and fixes a loophole that essentially allows sex offenders to spend a considerable amount of at a residence other than the primary one registered with the state. Major Grant Funds Robotic Programs for WNY Schools

A big announcement was made at Lockport High School. WNY STEM Hub has secured a $50,000 grant to launch 25 new robotics teams in Western New York school districts, preparing our students for a 21st century workforce. Lockport Robotics The Warlocks FIRST Team 1507, one of two robotics teams in Niagara County, has offered to serve as mentors to new teams as they get started.
