Brooklyn native Cedric Small was announced this week as the recipient of the Metropolitan Regions Youth Advocate of the Year (YaYa) at a ceremony held in Albany by the state Department of Health, Bureau of Tobacco Control. He was also awarded a special recognition by state Sen. Roxanne Persaud (D-Southeast Brooklyn).

In partnership with the American-Italian Cancer Foundation, Senator Persaud is hosting a No-Cost Mammogram Bus at the District Office. On July 17, if you are a woman between age 40 and 79 who lives in New York City and has not had a mammogram in the past year, come in for a No-cost Mammogram and Clinical Breast Exam Eligibility.
