About 30 people have requested to speak, according to Sen. Alessandra Biaggi, D-Pelham, Westchester County, chair of the Senate Ethics Committee.
"The goal of the hearings ... is not to have a trial, but to hold a hearing and to make sure that we are informed as a Legislature in terms of how we can update our policies," Biaggi told reporters Tuesday.
