Sen. Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins unveiled a new resource for Ardsley first responders Wednesday to mark National First Responders Day.
The new state-of-the-art ambulance will assist the department and aid volunteer members in responding to emergencies efficiently.

News 12 is told they receive close to 700 calls a year.
“Seconds matter, if people are calling you and your ambulance is breaking down, this is not going to help anybody,” says Stewart-Cousins. “The fact that you have a reliable state-of-the-art equipment replacing something that’s 18 years old and costing 40,000 a year to maintain. The fact that we can help, I’m really, really glad.”
