NEWBURGH – State Assemblyman Jonathan Jacobson (D, Newburgh) and Senator James Skoufis (D, Woodbury) have secured $500,000 in state funds to repave streets in the City of Newburgh.

Between that money, other state funds and the city’s budgeted allotment, Newburgh will have about $1.3 million to repave its streets, many of which are in poor condition.

“The City of Newburgh’s roads have been left to deteriorate by the state for decades and with this funding, along with several local efforts, we are continuing to change course for the better,” said Skoufis.
