Senator Rachel May, D-53, Syracuse, is asking federal authorities to continue a guest worker visa program for non-U.S. citizens seen as critical to running many farms in upstate New York.

May announced late Thursday she delivered a letter to Senators Chuck Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand; Reps. Anthony Brindisi, D-22, Utica, and John Katko, R-24, Camillus, and to various federal departments urging them to continue the H-2A guest worker visa program during the coronavirus outbreak.
