McMahon credits state Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton for pushing “pro-public safety” provisions in this year’s state budget.

As indicated by McMahon, Scarcella-Spanton has taken steps to protect retail workers. A bill written by the state senator makes the assault of a retail worker a Class E felony, a crime punishable by up to four years in prison.
