NY Board of Parole proposes new rules for youth offenders

Rolison and Senator Dean Murray recently sent a letter to the Parole Board Chairman opposing the regulations. They worry it will negatively impact public safety.

“You can have one side present a picture of what was happening. Maybe the things they were dealing with as growing up, which someone may say caused them to commit this heinous crime,” said Rolison. “Who presents the other side? Someone who could say that’s not really the case. Where is the advocate for the victim or the victim’s family?”
