Representing New York’s 63rd District, State Senator April N. McCants-Baskin’s favorite thing about being a legislator is having the opportunity to advocate for her neighbors and influence positive change.

The biggest lesson McCants-Baskin has learned during her time in office is the importance of letting go when things don’t go your way and starting fresh the next day. When asked what her district does better than anywhere else, she said, “Buffalo wings.”
