State Sen. John Liu weighs in on Mamdani’s education agenda

The Mamdani administration is preparing to send Albany lawmakers a plan for mayoral control of the city’s public school system by the end of June, laying out how schools will comply with a state law to reduce overcrowding in public schools.
The plan is expected to influence whether lawmakers extend mayoral control. State Sen. John Liu, the chair of the New York City Education Committee in the state Senate, joins “Inside City Hall” to discuss the mayor’s plan.
