Celebrate Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, with Senator Roxanne J. Persaud! From 2 to 7 p.m., the District Office will be giving away candy to all trick or treaters who visit. Senator Persaud, the Department of Finance and HPD are holding an event for homeowners and tenants at Canarsie High School's cafeteria (1600 Rockaway Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11236) on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homeowners may apply for an exemption and lower their property tax bills; tenants (seniors and those with disabilities) may apply for SCRIE or DRIE and keep their rent from increasing.
