
$50,000 Secured for Allegany County Fire Training Facility

Young Obtains Construction Funding |
State Senator Catharine "Cathy" Young (R,I,C - Olean) today announced that she has secured $50,000 for the construction of the Allegany County Emergency Services Training Facility, which includes a training tower, classrooms and other office facilities.
"I was pleased to sponsor this grant for the Allegany County Training Facility," Senator Young said. "The construction of this facility will not only serve to benefit Emergency Service personnel, but the residents of Allegany County as well. Enhanced training for first responders decreases the risk of injury or death - it’s as simple as that."
The funding, which originates from the Community Enhancement facilities Assistance Program (CEFAP), in principally intended for capital construction or renovations of permanent facilities, or for the purchase and installation of equipment.
