Senator Klein’s proposal calls for tax credits for homeowners using a home heating fuel blend that contains at least 20 percent biodiesel fuel, increased use of solar energy modeled after a successful California program, and reinstating the sales tax exemption for the purchase of hybrid vehicles and the elimination of tolls for hybrid vehicles.
