Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced he has secured funding for several area programs that serve disabled youth and adults.
"These organizations and the dedicated people who work in them are special to me," said Senator Larkin. "They should be more recognized for the wonderful work they do every day in our local communities. It makes me especially happy to have been in a position to obtain funding for these worthy programs."
Through Senator Larkin’s efforts, the New Windsor campus of McQuade Children’s Services will receive $10,000 for the renovation and rehabilitation of six bathroom facilities in the student residences.
The Resource Center For Accessible Living, Inc. in Kingston will receive $10,000 for its special education services program.
The Children’s Home of Kingston will receive $10,000 for equipment purchases in its residential cottages.
Special Olympics Orange County Chapter will receive $5,000 for replacing old equipment and toward the cost of sending athletes from throughout Orange County to the statewide games.
