State Capitol, Albany, New York, June 22, 2006 -- State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, made a special visit to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Lindenhurst to present Thomas Rossi (left) and Andrew Seaman (right) with certificates congratulating both students on winning second place in the Senate’s 15th Annual I*MA*GREEN*NATION competition.
Thomas and Andrew received second place for their joint project in the Division II Audio/Video category, which demonstrated their understanding and knowledge of the environmental issues within our world today. The I*MA*GREEN*NATION competition brings together students from all across the state who have the opportunity to display their projects in Albany and receive recognition for their participation and hard work.
"It is wonderful to see schools and parents take such interest in the education of our young people," said Senator Johnson. "I’m delighted that Our Lady of Perpetual Help school participated in the I*MA*GREEN*NATION program."
