Larkin Announces Heal Ny Grants For Area Hospitals

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced that Orange Regional Medical Center and St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital have received over $5 million in state grants under phase two of the state’s Healthcare Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers (HEAL NY) program.
Orange Regional Medical Center was awarded $24,600,000 and St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital received $500,000.
"These local hospitals were eligible for this funding because they have demonstrated a commitment to trying new and modern initiatives that restructure their facilities in a way that improves the delivery of care to patients," said Senator Larkin.
The awards are for capital projects aimed at reconfiguring inpatient space in favor of improved hospital-based ambulatory and outpatient care and less restrictive long-term care services, such as adult day health care and assisted living.
