William J. Larkin Jr.
June 7, 2006
Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced the State Senate has passed legislation he is sponsoring (S.7156) to authorize the City of Kingston to alienate waterfront property so that it can be sold to a private developer.
"Under current law, there is a general prohibition on the sale of waterfront property," said Senator Larkin. "The City of Kingston requested that this stipulation be waived so that property located at 472 Abeel Street could be sold to a private developer. I was happy to draft this bill for the City and am pleased that it was passed by the Senate."
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 59-0. It now goes to the Assembly.
