Klein Cuts Check For Camping
Jeffrey D. Klein
July 1, 2007
BRONX-Senator Klein stopped by Boy Scout Troop #182 last Thursday to present a check for $1000 to eager scouts. Klein, an avid fisherman, spoke briefly about his own enjoyment of the outdoors, the importance of public service, and the role organizations like the Boy Scouts of America serve to promote civic mindedness and physical activity in young people.
When asked how they intend to spend the money, the troop leader responded that he hoped it would help support the cost of camping trips, an important activity in the life of a young scout.
