Senator Klein Presents Black History Month Contest Awards At Tuckahoe High School

TUCKAHOE, NY April 20th-Senator Jeff Klein (D-Westchester/Bronx), joined by Tuckahoe High School Principal, Dr. Lenihanpresented Ashley Guthrie, a senior at
Ashley Guthriewas honored for her poignant poem on B.B. King and the civil rights struggle.
A certificate of recognition was also awarded to Hinton Campbell, a senior, for an essay on his identity as a young African-American. The contest was open to all residents of the 34th Senate District and the winners were selected from a multitude of entries.
