State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently stopped by the United Methodist Church in Babylon where he presented a New York State Senate Citation to Peter Vames of Babylon Village at Vames’ Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony. Vames, a member of Boy Scout Troop 1, was honored for achieving the rank of Eagle -- the highest rank that can be attained in the Boy Scouts of America.
"Attaining the rank of Eagle is truly a tremendous feat," said Senator Johnson. "It is my honor and my pleasure to join your family, friends, Scout leader and fellow scouts in not only congratulating you on this remarkable achievement, but wishing you continued success in your future endeavors."
