Klein Hosts Public Forum On Property Taxes

Eastchester-In the first of several county wide forums to address the crippling cost of property taxes, Senator Jeff Klein spoke to a crowd of a 150 people at Eastchester's Town Hall. Just last year the property tax formula was recalculated to reflect income ratherthan property value, but still Westchester residents continue to pay some of the highest taxes in the nation. Senator Klein gave a power point presentation and engaged in dialogue with concerned citizens about property tax caps and other ideas to reform the system. Klein has since presented in Tuckahoe and will speak this Saturday in Yonkers.
