New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) met with local teachers and United Federation of Teachers (UFT) members from District 26 at the State Capitol on Tuesday afternoon, March 17th. The meeting focused on the issues impacting New York City schools, teachers and students in the 2009-2010 Executive Budget. Additionally, the discussion focused on the money earmarked for education as a part of the recently enacted federal economic stimulus package.
