New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) condemns the recent brutal attack of 49-year old Jack Price by two young Hispanic men, Daniel Aleman Daniel Rodriguez. Mr. Price was attacked on a deserted street in Queens because he is gay.
"I join in prayer with my fellow members of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization for Mr. Jack Price's full recovery," stated Senator Rev. Diaz. "I call on New York's Hispanic community to denounce the criminal actions of the two young Hispanic thugs who beat a man because of his sexual orientation. This type of abuse must not be condoned nor tolerated. I hope that these abusers will receive the maximum penalty that our laws provide."
Mr. Price remains in critical condition at New York Hospital hooked up to a respirator. His lungs are collapsed and his jaw and ribs are broken. A surveillance video camera in the area captured the entire incident.
