Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today called for a freeze all state funding for ACORN and their affiliates until Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes completes his investigation of the Brooklyn ACORN office and their questionable activities.
"Until the district attorney has thoroughly and exhaustively reviewed the actions of the Brooklyn ACORN office, it is in the best interest of the hardworking taxpayers of New York that any funding awarded to ACORN be frozen immediately. We need to ensure that the money goes for the purposes intended and not the inappropriate activities we have seen played out in the news," said Larkin.
"I urge Andrew Cuomo and Thomas DiNapoli to freeze all ACORN funding immediately. New Yorkers work too hard to see their tax dollars misappropriated in this way," said Larkin.
