Lanza Introduces Legislation That Would Give Senior Citizens 50% Discount for Bridge and Tunnel Tolls

Senator Lanza’s bill, S.6238, requires the MTA to offer seniors a 50% discount
on bridge and tunnel tolls.
 
“Many of our seniors, who live on fixed incomes, are finding it more and more
 difficult to makes ends meet,” said Senator Lanza. “The cost of food, gas, 
utilities and prescription drugs have increased substantially while their 
income remains the same. This bill will provide some relief to our seniors 
who travel.”
