Hospice of Orleans recently had the opportunity to personally thank Senator George Maziarz and Assemblyman Steve Hawley for their support of Hospice through a legislative member grant of $2,500. The grant has been given through the NYS Department of Health and will be used towards funding the Bereavement program.

Senator Maziarz has extended extraordinary support to Hospice since its inception, including funding to construct a handicap ramp and support for the Transitions program. Assemblyman Hawley was a sponsor for the recent 2010 golf tournament which raised $12,600. Both Senator Maziarz and Assemblyman Hawley know from personal experience, the positive difference that Hospice was able to make in their own families lives.
