Senator Klein presents $115,000 grant to Eastchester Fire Department for new jack system

NEW YORK- On Thursday, April 29th, Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) presented a $115,000 grant to the Eastchester Fire Department. Firefighters will use the grant to purchase a new jack system, allowing mechanics to repair trucks more quickly and get them back on the streets. The grant will also fund a new dormitory at the department’s headquarters. Eastchester Fire Chief Mike Grogan, President of Eastchester Professional Firefighters Local 916 Shawn Stewart, Board of Fire Commissioners Chairman Ray O’Hare, Eastchester firefighters joined Klein at the presentation.
