New York, NY— Senator José M. Serrano marched alongside Congressman José E. Serrano at the 22nd Annual Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade. The Senator, a lifelong Bronx resident, expressed great pride for his Puerto Rican heritage.
“Puerto Ricans have made tremendous contributions to the Bronx, as well as to New York City as a whole, and today we celebrate our unique ability to cross cultural boundaries while remaining true to our roots.” said Senator Serrano, who Chairs the Senate committee that oversees Cultural Affairs.
“I am excited to be a part of this wonderful Bronx tradition that serves as inspiration for all Puerto Ricans to continue working toward making this a better city and state.”
