“The burden of the MTA’s budget deficit should not be placed on commuters already struggling in these hard economic times. The Rockaway Rebate Program benefits over 100,000 local residents. Rockaway residents should not have to foot-the-bill to travel on and off the Peninsula. I urge MTA Chief Executive Officer Jay Walder to immediately reinstate the program.”
