My resolution against Governor Paterson’s furlough plan helped a federal judge put a stop to them. I will continue to oppose furloughs and layoffs. I have attached a letter thanking me for my help from the president of the Public Employees Federation.

I enjoyed visiting with students and staff from Bishop Maginn High School at the Capitol today. Bishop Maginn has a long standing tradition of providing a top notch education to our students.
