Senator Rubén Díaz Statement Regarding Choice for Lieutenant Governor

“I want to offer my congratulations to Mayor Robert Duffy on being chosen by Andrew Cuomo as his running mate.

However, inside of me I was hoping and praying that Mr. Cuomo would have chosen Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown.
 
Mayor Brown’s vast executive and legislative experience, both as Mayor of an upstate industrial city and as a state legislator, gives him an important advantage and at the same time would have brought balance to the ticket.”
