Senator Squadron, Speaker Silver Push for Progress on PAC, Local Reps to Serve on Board
December 19, 2011
LOWER MANHATTAN -- Today, State Senator Daniel Squadron and Assemblyman Sheldon Silver released the following statement:
“It is imperative that the Lower Manhattan Performing Arts Center be built and that we take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that it becomes a reality.
In order for the interests of Lower Manhattan residents to be protected and represented, we ask that local residents be appointed to the board overseeing the PAC.
This project was promised to our community and we remain fully committed to seeing that it is built, that it receives the LMDC funding it was promised, and that our Downtown community is represented through every stage of the process.”
