I’m pleased that Governor Cuomo has proposed an Executive Budget that closes a $10 billion deficit with recurring spending actions, and does not rely on any borrowing or new taxes.

In the coming days and weeks, I will be analyzing what the specifics of the budget will mean for Central New York, and getting input from my constituents in the 49^th Senate district. While this budget will no doubt require difficult choices, it has the basis for taking the steps New York State needs to emerge from the fiscal crisis in a position for long-term growth
