January 11, 2011
Senator Hugh T. Farley is pleased to announce his committee assignments for the 2011 Legislative Session.
He has been appointed by Majority Leader Dean Skelos to serve on the following committees: Rules; Finance; Aging; Banks; Ethics; and Health.
“I was appointed to every committee on which I asked to serve. I also anticipate being appointed to a significant leadership position within the State Senate, and look forward to addressing the important issues and challenges which face our state” said Senator Farley.
Senator Farley was also designated as Vice-Chair of the Senate Banks Committee, in recognition of his previous tenure as Chairman of that Committee. “With Governor Cuomo’s proposed merger of the Banking and Insurance Departments, I expect to lend my expertise and historical knowledge to help ensure that New York continues to be the financial capital of the world,” he said.
