New York State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle, Chair of the New York State Senate’s Higher Education Committee will chair a first of its kind Higher Education Budget Roundtable with members of the Senate’s Higher Education Committee as well as representatives of the State University of New York (SUNY) including Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer Monica Rimai and other senior SUNY officials to discuss the 2011-2012 Executive Budget and its impact on the University system.
The roundtable establishes a new, creative, open and transparent process to review the Executive Budget, line by line, to determine its impact on SUNY, students and higher education.
The meeting will be held in the Albany offices of Senator Kenneth LaValle, Room 806, Legislative Office Building on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 9:30 am. A webcast of the meeting can be viewed by clicking here.
LaValle and his committee will host roundtables for the City University System and independent colleges on dates to be announced.
