Suffolk’s residents and businesses are now eligible for the Individuals and Households Program, Crisis Counseling, Disaster Unemployment Assistance, USDA food coupons and distribution, USDA food commodities, Disaster Legal Services, the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and Small Business Administration disaster loans.
“I am pleased that Washington extended this assistance to Suffolk County’s residents and businesses. I applaud Governor Cuomo for securing this aid and urge residents and businesses to take advantage of these programs,” said Senator Johnson.
Residents and small businesses who suffered losses are urged to call FEMA’s registration number at 1-800-621-3362 or register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. If you believe you are eligible for federal aid you must register with FEMA and call as soon as possible.
