 
Senator Andrew Lanza Begins Community Drive to Help Local Hurricane Victims

Lanza’s District Office to Serve as Donation Drop-Off Point
 
 Senator Andrew Lanza has opened his district office, located at 3845 Richmond Ave. in Eltingville, to serve as a donation drop-off point to help those Staten Islanders who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.  Lanza will be collecting donations and distributing them as needed to evacuation centers and families across Staten Island.
 
 Anyone who is willing and able to donate non-perishable food items, clothing, blankets or other supplies, may drop them to Lanza's district office today up until 5:00 p.m. or tomorrow between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 
 Below is a list of suggested supplies:
 Water - 1 liter or smaller bottles for easier transport.
 Food – Dry & Canned, pop top preferred that is easy to prepare with or without heat.
 Matches 
 Powdered Milk, Baby Formula and bottles
 Pet supplies and food
 First Aid Kits & supplies 
 Flashlights and batteries
 Paper Cups, Napkins, and plastic utensils
 Non-Electric cans opener and Utility Knifes
 Duct Tape
 Plastic zip lock bags
 Personal Care items such as soap, toilet paper, wipes, garbage bags, disinfectant and bleach
 Plastic Tarps
 Portable Generators
 Clothes, especially baby and children
 Blankets and sleeping bags
 Coats and sweaters
 Brooms, mops, garbage bags, plastic gloves and other cleaning supplies
 
 Donations may be dropped off today until 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Senator Lanza’s district office is located at 3845 Richmond Ave. (near the Eltingville Train Station on the second floor).
