Senator Andrew Lanza honored winners of his annual Memorial Day Essay Contest at Intermediate School 24 on Saturday, May 19. Students submitted essays entitled, "What Does Memorial Day Mean To Me?” The contest was open to all 5^th grade students and winners were selected on subject matter and creativity. Winners received prizes at a small ceremony before the Great Kills Memorial Day parade.
