Statement by Senator John Bonacic
John J. Bonacic
February 8, 2012
Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee
“The shooting in Middletown this morning is obviously very alarming. Thankfully, much tragedy was avoided by the fast action of trained Court Officers. Clearly this, along with a fight yesterday in Utica’s courthouse, shows that implementing justice can be a dangerous proposition. Justice has to be both blind and safe. I once again want to applaud and thank the Court Officers and staff in Middletown for their quick action in preventing further harm.”
