Manhattan College: "Three Senators"
José M. Serrano
April 18, 2012
Senator Serrano served as guest speaker for the Manhattan College Latino Alumni Club’s (MCLAC) “Three Senators” event. The event, which took place on the Hayden Hall campus of Manhattan College, also featured Senators Gustavo Rivera and Adriano Espaillat for a panel discussion on the new dynamics in Albany under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration and other relevant issues affecting our community.
“It is an honor to speak at my alma mater about my work in public service,” said Senator Serrano. "It is important to cultivate a sense of support between alumni and the college community, and MCLAC has provided an incredible opportunity for the Manhattan College family to come together and share ideas with their Latino elected officials. I hope that my work and the work of my colleagues will serve to inspire new generations to get involved in civil service."
The event also featured Co-Chairs Maria Khury and Joaquin Pradas, and Alumni Society President Joseph Dillon provided closing remarks.
