Griffo Asks Republican Congressional Leaders to Help Approve Storm Aid
New York State Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-C-IP, Rome) has written to the Republican leaders of Congress, asking that they go back and work together to approve an aid relief package for New York and the other communities ravaged by Superstorm Sandy.
In letters to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Griffo writes, "It is essential that all of us in public service at all levels show leadership and commitment to work collaboratively and swiftly to do all that we can so that the damage from this storm is repaired, and so that the one-time burdens of such a unique and devastating storm are supported by the federal government."
